This is the personal business web site of Stan Ernst...definitely a work in progress and almost as rough around the edges as I am. I specialize in food and agricultural markets, public issues, technologies, and related policies. Any opinions here are mine and not tied to my current or past academic homes. My mission, if you want to call it that, is to get you to think critically about topics relevant to consumers and food and farm industries. I subscribe to solid science, consumer sovereignty, and a pretty wide world view...try to stick a standard label on me and you'll get frustrated real quick.  I am, at times, ornery, irascible, and occasionally intellectual. But mostly I'm just Stan. I like to think broadly and laugh loudly and hope my questions and comments get you to do the same.
